Programme

The day will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Scout hall with an opportunity to meet other participants and staff and discuss the programme for the day. At this stage, participants will be split into teams based on previous experience to try to ensure they are working with people of a similar standard.

Teams will then leave the base and travel to the nearby hills to enjoy a full day out before returning to the base in the late afternoon.

During the day participants will be able to develop the various skills needed to move safely in the hills, including map work, navigation and route planning. The level of training offered will be varied to suit the needs and experience of the participants to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and productive day.
